In Quarante, nestling in the Languedoc region of Southern France you are spoilt for choice for dining out and the finest, freshest local produce. You will do your research online, but here are few we can wholeheartedly recommend.

Bar40 Ouarante – You will receive a warm welcome from Alex who serves food most lunchtimes and evenings but is closed on Sundays. He also operates a take-away service.

Le Pourquoi Pas – a perfectly located restaurant on the banks of the Canal du midi between Ouarante and Capestang. Well-cooked food at sensible prices. Please ask us for directions as this restaurant is a bit of a hidden gem!

Latino Beach Serignan Plage – lovely restaurant right on the beach, built every year in Spring and then dismantled at the end of summer, offering a varied menu with seafood a speciality.

Chateau le Capitoul Narbonne – in the same ownership as Carrasses and just opening recently, this stunning hotel has a dining area looking out across the saltwater etangs towards Gruissan and the Spanish border.
